Margin on selling price: –

How it works

Markup refers to the purchase price, margin to the selling price. At a cost of 10 and a price of 15 that is 50 % markup but only 33.3 % margin.

The sample values are only for trying out. Replace them with your numbers. Fees, shipping and taxes are not included.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between margin and markup?

Markup is calculated from the purchase price, margin from the selling price. The same prices therefore give two different percentages.

Are fees included?

No. Deduct fees, shipping and packaging yourself first or add them to the purchase price.
